A Day in the Life of a Restaurant General Manager
  • Control profitability by managing cash, inventory, labor, and financial reports.
  • Recruit, interview, and hire team members and managers.
  • Coach and train employees for operational excellence.
  • Complete inventory counts bi-weekly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and ensure an exceptional guest experience.
Requirements
  • At least 1 year of experience as a General Manager in food service or retail, with Profit & Loss responsibility, preferably in QSR.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Availability to close the restaurant at least two nights a week.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, stand/walk constantly, and operate restaurant equipment safely.

Compensation varies based on skills, experience, and location. Starting ranges include:

  • Maryland: $53,000 - $58,000
  • New York: $55,000 - $60,000
  • New York City: $65,000 - $70,000
  • Cincinnati, OH: $54,000 - $58,000
