Overview
The Screw Machine Operator is responsible for independently operating and optimizing assigned machinery to achieve high productivity, precision, and consistent product quality. This role involves advanced machine operation, set-up and troubleshooting to address complex machine issues, improve performance, and meet strict quality standards. The Operator also plays a key role in driving continuous process improvements and ensuring smooth operations.
Position Details- Position Type:
Full-Time/Non-Exempt (Hourly) - Work Location:
Onsite - Mooresville, North Carolina 28115 - Pay Range: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
- Shift: 3rd shift, 9:45pm - 6:00am
- Run assigned mechanical equipment
- Ensure that items produced pass quality control requirements
- Perform moderately advanced troubleshooting of equipment and perform adjustments
- Read and interpret blueprints if applicable
- Use moderately advanced measuring instruments
- Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately
- Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area)
- Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Ability to interpret work instructions
- Proficient in following written and verbal directions
- Intermediate verbal and written communication skills
- Intermediate mathematical skills
- Intermediate use of required gaging instruments
- 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Proficiency in handling complex issues and problems
- Comprehensive working knowledge of subject matter
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly. Required to stand for extended periods.
- Must be able to push/pull objects up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent bending and stooping required.
- Must have the dexterity to handle small objects. Must be able to work in noisy environments.
