Duke Health Lake Norman HospitalMooresville, North Carolina. The smallest of Duke Health's four hospitals at 123 beds, it offers a comprehensive range of medical services, including 24‑hour emergency care, cardiology, orthopedics, women’s services, and surgical specialties.
SummarySupport performance management and improvement services for Duke University Hospital, Duke Health Raleigh Hospital, Durham Regional Hospital, and other entities within the Duke University Health System. Responsibilities include productivity management, labor budgeting, operational support, decision support, performance reporting, patient satisfaction, and performance improvement.
Hours and Work LocationDay shift Monday–Friday. In‑person preferred.
Work Performed- Management Engineering: develop and maintain labor standards, support productivity improvement, perform labor variance analyses.
- Operational Support: provide project management and analytical support for operational initiatives.
- Decision Support and Performance Reporting: initiate clinical analyses, coordinate improvement processes, report quality and patient safety metrics, support balanced scorecard program.
- Patient Satisfaction: coordinate and support improvement efforts to enhance patient satisfaction scores.
- Performance Improvement: lead and support performance improvement teams.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills, including database analysis.
- Level 2: Works under general supervision; collaborates with leadership; supports performance improvement work.
- Level 3: Works autonomously; sets priorities; serves as improvement facilitator or expert.
- Level 4: Coordinates services; provides oversight and workflow supervision; may supervise up to two staff; acts as facilitator or improvement expert.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field (Master’s degree desired at all levels). - Experience:
Level 2 – minimum 4 years of related experience (Master’s degree can substitute for 2 years);
Level 3 – minimum 6 years;
Level 4 – minimum 6 years.
