Job Summary
Provides general medical care under the direction of a licensed provider to patients in an outpatient clinic setting. This position works directly with a franchised business location. The scope of duties and benefits may vary between franchises.
Responsibilities- Obtain patient vitals, medical history, and reason for visit, and prepare the patient for a physical exam.
- Explain prescribed procedures and treatments to patients.
- Ensure all ordered tests are performed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with the approved procedure.
- Draw blood and prepare labs for reference lab processing and/or in‑house processing.
- Perform laboratory tests, lab‑quality controls, and equipment maintenance according to written instructions.
- Respond to all lab messages and call‑back requests.
- Perform all drug screening procedures in accordance with established rules and regulations.
- Ensure patient immunizations are well documented and administered in accordance with the approved procedure.
- Conduct physician referrals as well as service pre‑certifications on an as‑needed basis.
- Prepare exam rooms; sterilize instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures.
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school; or 6 months to 1 year related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. AMT registered and AAMA Certified Medical Assistants are preferred.

$16.00 - $18.00 per hour.
