The ideal candidate has hands‑on fabrication experience with metallic and composite materials, strong attention to detail, and the ability to perform in a fast‑paced, development‑focused environment.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare vehicles and components for wind tunnel testing by building and finishing bodywork to aerodynamic specifications.
  • Sand, paint, fit, and modify test components to ensure accuracy and repeatability during testing.
  • Attend wind tunnel tests and perform quick, precise changes to components as directed by the aero group.
  • Review wind tunnel test plans and proactively prepare tools, parts, and materials to minimize delays.
  • Organize, load, and transport toolboxes, test components, and equipment required for wind tunnel sessions.
  • Collaborate closely with aerodynamicists, engineers, and fabrication staff to support development objectives.
  • Ensure all components meet NASCAR technical and quality standards prior to and during testing.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, configurations, and changes made during test sessions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with Team Penske standards.

  • Experience using metrology equipment such as portable CMMs, scanners, and measurement tools.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under time constraints.
