Production Worker

The operator is responsible for the productivity and quality of the assigned extruder operation. They will monitor and master indicators such as temperature, gauge settings, color, and dimensions, and report any issues to the shift supervisor.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor equipment operation, gauges, and panel lights to detect deviations from standards, and adjust gauges, PLCs, and other controls to correct deviations. Set and regulate equipment according to specifications.
• Follow all safety, food safety, and relevant policies and procedures.
• Perform various lab techniques and sampling.
• Properly connect CIP lines to cyclones, transitions, and fluid beds.
• Record gauge readings, test results, and shift production data accurately.
• Transport materials and products manually or using pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Measure ingredients or materials for batching using scales and pumps.
• Maintain sanitation of processing equipment through cleaning and lubrication.
• Perform physical activities such as sitting, standing, walking, climbing, and moving for extended periods.
• Work in environments with noise, dust, and temperature variations.
• Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
• Lift objects up to 50 lbs repeatedly and exert force up to 100 lbs occasionally.
• Perform physical movements including climbing, stooping, crouching, reaching, and handling.

Qualifications:

• Mechanical aptitude
• Ability to read and understand computer screens
• Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions)
• Read instructions and safety information in English
• Comfortable working at heights (e.g., on roofs)
