Memory Care Activity Assistant (CNA) Opportunity at Meadow Lake
The Memory Care Activity Assistant plays a vital and heartfelt role in enriching the lives of residents. With warmth, patience, and genuine care, they help create a joyful and engaging environment where seniors feel seen, heard, and valued.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities are reflected in the responsibilities and expectations implied by the role description and required competencies:
- Provide a supportive presence, connecting with residents and understanding their emotional and social needs.
- Demonstrate passion for working with individuals experiencing Alzheimer’s disease and other memory-related dementia; help residents live each day to their cognitive and physical potential.
- Collaborate with the care team to support residents holistically and strive for excellent care.
- Manage time effectively by balancing daily schedules, multiple residents, and activity preparation.
- Design and facilitate engaging, age-appropriate activities that accommodate different physical and cognitive abilities.
- Demonstrates C.A.R.E. values:
Compassion, Accountability, Relationships and Excellence. - High school diploma or GED; or one to three months’ related experience/training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Successful completion of a State-approved Nursing Assistant training and competency evaluation program or CNA competency evaluation program approved by the State (training may be provided by the community).
