The Aegis Multi-Element Integration & Test Engineer will play a critical role in the integration, testing, operations, and mission support of the Aegis Weapon System (AWS) at the Aegis Ashore Missile Defense Test Complex (AAMDTC) located at the Pacific Missile Range Facility in Kauai, HI. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding and considerable experience with AWS, including console operations, as well as experience solving complex computer system problems and improving performance.

The engineer will be responsible for supporting the testing and operation of the AWS, including data analysis to evaluate and troubleshoot system anomalies, and participating in test and evaluation activities. In addition to these responsibilities, the engineer will also provide operational and mission support to ensure the AWS is performing optimally and is ready to meet mission requirements. As part of a small team, the engineer will interface with the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) customer, providing technical expertise and support to ensure the successful execution of tests and operations.

Basic Qualifications:

• Thorough understanding and considerable MEIT experience with Aegis Weapon System
• Experience solving complex computer system problems and improving performance on Windows, and Linux operating systems.
• Ability to install, integrate and evaluate COTS products and tools.
• Understanding of the AWS, ACS interfaces, and SPY radar operations and capabilities.
• Working knowledge of data communications and networking is required.
• Qualified candidate must have a DOD Final Secret security clearance. Obtaining a secret clearance requires US citizenship.
Desired

Skills:

• CompTIA Linux+ and Security+ Certifications
• Shipboard or land-based Aegis Weapon System (AWS) experience.
• Basic knowledge of real-time computing environments.
• Experience working with Aegis Baselines (9, 9.2.1, 9.2.2, 9.2.3, 10, etc . .), and Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense baselines (5.1.4, 5.1.5, etc. . .)
• Multiple element engineering experience with Aegis Weapons System baselines.
• Working knowledge and experience with data analyzers and debug tools such as wireshark, Nightview, gdb, etc. virtualization environments
• Working knowledge and experience with virtual environments and platforms
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience interfacing with customers.
• Demonstrated ability to own the process and move forward with minimal direction.
• Experience working with DoD systems and architectures
