The Work The experienced Technical Expert in all aspects of Aegis Weapon System will be responsible for:
• Providing technical guidance for Aegis Real World operations
• Instilling System Engineering principles and rigor at all levels of engineering workforce
• Expanding business into adjacent space opportunities
• Establishing a pipeline for IRAD work transitions to contract scope, improving management of data and analysis processes and tools, and evolving Aegis applications for future warfare Who We Are

Basic Qualifications:
• Master's degree with 20+ years of systems engineering and project management experience at Lockheed Martin developing, maturing, and delivering the Aegis Weapon System to U.S. Navy and Missile Defense Agency Customers
• 20+ years experience managing cost, schedule, and manpower planning for large programs with greater than 200+ Full-time equivalent engineers
• Proposal experience with large U.S. Navy and Missile Defense Agency RFP submissions for >$500M program awards
• DOD Top Secret level clearance
• Experienced U.S. Navy Surface Warfare Officer
• Detailed knowledge of Ballistic Missile Defense design for Aegis Baseline 9 systems
• Past history leading teams of 200+ FTEs in Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense design and systems engineering

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework:
The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
