• Must have / predicted to achieve a minimum of five Scottish National 5s at grade A‑C (or five Standard grades at grades 1‑3) (or equivalent)
• Must include Maths at a B or above, a Science subject and English at C or above

Written and spoken fluency in English

• If offered a position the candidate must be willing to enrol and meet entry requirements.
• This role is primarily site‑based. Must be able to commute to the Montrose site.

Assessment centres for shortlisted candidates will be held April/May 2026.

• Learn how to maintain equipment and carry out routine maintenance.
• Fault‑find, diagnose and resolve breakdowns.
• Recommend and action improvements.
• Help install and test new equipment.
• Learn business skills with other apprentices.
• Complete community projects as part of a team.
• Work alongside highly trained and highly motivated people.
• Be trained on how to maintain the plant on the 47‑acre site.
• Attend college one day a week to obtain relevant qualifications.

• Starting salary of £18,400 per year, increasing to £25,400 after 1 year (subject to review and may change in line with living wage).
