Compensation
Starting rate ranges from $20.00 per hour for new locators to $30.00 per hour for those with substantial prior locating experience.
Your Responsibilities as a Locator- Correctly, safely, and efficiently locate underground utilities, including telecommunications, electric power, cable TV, gas, water, and sewer systems.
- Thoroughly search for underground utilities in a designated area, accurately marking the location, completing necessary documentation, and photographing each locate.
- Work day‑time, full‑time positions with 48‑hour turnaround, possibly working overtime, weekends, and on‑call shifts (including nights) as required.

- Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Computer proficiency.
- Availability for overtime, weekends, and on‑call shifts.
- Able to pass a drug screen (safety‑sensitive position).
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
- Able to work in a confined space, walk, bend, and lift up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to distinguish colors used to identify wiring and mark utilities.
- Strong reading and mapping skills.
- Effective communication with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.
