Overview

Under general supervision, the Pro Shop Attendant and Restaurant Server in this role is responsible for providing exceptional customer service in two distinct but complementary areas of the golf course, ensuring a seamless experience for all.

Responsibilities
  • Cash Handling and Point-of-Sale (POS) Management:
    Accurately manage all financial transactions for both golf services (green fees, cart rentals, tee time bookings) and dining services (food/beverages, merchandise). This includes operating the POS system, ensuring accurate billing, and assisting with register balancing during opening and closing procedures.
  • Customer Service and Communication:
    Serve as a primary point of contact by professionally answering phones, providing information (rates, course conditions, events), and providing service and assistance to all customers (golfers and diners).
  • Golf Operations Scheduling:
    Efficiently manage the tee sheet, ensure an effective flow of players on the course, and maintain accurate record-keeping related to all golf bookings and rentals.
  • Merchandise Sales and Inventory:
    Actively sell golf merchandise, demonstrate product knowledge, and assist customers with selections. This also includes assisting with inventory tasks such as receiving, pricing, and displaying new products.
  • Food and Beverage Service Delivery:
    Accurately take and process food and beverage orders, promptly serve items, and check back with guests to ensure satisfaction throughout the dining experience.
  • Issue Resolution and Guest Relations:
    Gracefully and efficiently handle guest complaints, concerns, and special requests, escalating unresolved issues to management when necessary to maintain high standards of guest satisfaction.
  • Facility Opening, Closing, and Security:
    Execute all necessary opening and closing procedures for both the Pro Shop and dining areas, including register balancing, securing the facility, and preparing all areas for the operational day.
  • Aesthetics and General Maintenance:
    Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization across all guest-facing areas, including the Pro Shop, retail displays, and dining areas, by performing tasks like dusting, vacuuming, and clearing/cleaning tables.
  • Service Area Preparation and Setup:
    Prepare all service areas before, during, and after operational hours. This includes setting up tables, stocking necessary supplies, and organizing displays to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Operational Support Tasks:
    Provide general operational support, which includes assisting with basic food preparation tasks (e.g., pouring beverages, preparing simple side items) and other duties to support the smooth function of both Pro Shop and Restaurant services.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Prior experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service is required.
  • Prior experience as a server or in the food service industry is highly preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Proficiency with multiple POS systems (training on specific systems will be provided).
Licenses & Certifications
  • Current Colorado driver's license with acceptable record.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment

This position requires the ability to stand for long periods and continuously move throughout the workday, involving frequent walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. The employee must possess the physical strength to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds without assistance and maintain excellent hand/eye coordination to ensure safety in environments featuring sharp objects and open flames.
