- Starting Wages: $36.40-$46.40 per hour.

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) coordinates and provides nursing care for residents and provides supervision and guidance to clinical staff members.
Qualifications EducationGraduate of accredited LPN/LVN program.
Licenses & Certifications- Valid LPN/LVN license in the state employed.
- Valid CPR certification.
One year of nursing experience preferred.
Job Functions- Document the resident’s condition and nursing needs.
- Accurately and promptly implement physicians’ orders.
- Assign nursing care to team members based on resident needs and staff capabilities.
- Supervise, direct, and evaluate junior staff and CNAs.
- Administer medications and treatments, and document as required by company and regulations.
- Participate in orientation and in-service training for personnel.
- Ensure supplies are used economically and equipment is clean and safe.
- Report and record pertinent observations and reactions regarding residents.
- Coordinate nursing care with other departments for therapy or procedures.
- Assist in hiring processes and participate in counseling or disciplinary actions as permitted by state law.
- Supervise nursing unit scheduling and staffing where permitted by state practice act.
- Maintain inventory and communicate needs for housekeeping, maintenance, or dietary assistance.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
- Ability to direct and motivate the workforce.
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills for residents, families, and all levels of the organization.
- Ability to react decisively in emergency situations.
- Knowledge of training techniques for clinical staff.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
