AboutThe Career:
The APP is defined as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP). The role of the APP is to assist in the evaluation and management of patients, with and without physician medical supervision in a fashion that demonstrates administrative and philosophical compatibility with Montrose Regional Health. Within scope of practice, APP will exercise autonomy in medical decision making and provide a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services.
The APP may perform hospital rounding per the requirements of the patient census and in support of the physician/provider needs.
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current, or able to obtain, Colorado State License as a Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner.
- Current certification by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants/Nurse Practitioner.
- BLS Certification.
- Active DEA license.
