AboutThe Department
Our Medical Surgical Unit has 24 beds and all private rooms. We provide care to pediatric and adult patients with medical and surgical conditions. Our highly skilled caregivers have certifications including ACLS, PALS, and Chemotherapy to serve patients with various ailments. Special services include chemotherapy administration, physical therapy, nutrition counseling and hospice care. We can connect patients with advanced resources such as ostomy care, weekend infusion services, and more.
Discharge and social services are available to help patients return to being happy and healthy.
The Nurse Educator will coordinate and ensure all unit‑based and hospital‑wide education and competency requirements are completed. They participate in patient care, coordinate the plan of care, provide direct age‑appropriate nursing interventions and patient education, and collaborate with ancillary, nursing, and other patient team personnel. They direct the team of CNAs, LPNs, and Ward Secretaries, working under the supervision of the Nurse Director.
AllAbout You
- At least 1 year experience as an RN in a Medical Surgical Unit (preferred)
- Current Colorado or compact state RN license
- Education experience is preferred
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program with a Bachelor’s, Associate’s, or Diploma in Nursing
- BLS required upon hire
- ACLS and PALS or ENPC certification within 9 months
