Montrose County School District seeks an inspiring music teacher who is responsible for teaching secondary music education to students in grades 9 - 12, and assists the staff of the school in the improvement and appreciation of music instruction. Helps students grow in their enjoyment, appreciation, and performance of music through a variety of planned music experiences which include singing, moving to music.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Teach and instruct in the subject of vocal music.
- Maintains care/responsibility for school‑owned music, musical instruments, and equipment to prevent loss or abuse.
- Utilize an adopted course of study, program instruction guidelines, and other materials in developing lesson planning, and teaching outlines.
- Utilize a variety of methodology in teaching and instructing pupils, including lectures, instruction, demonstrations, activity participation.
