Position Overview

The Superintendent is responsible for managing all aspects of on-site construction for projects-from site preparation through final walkthrough. This role ensures homes are built safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards while maintaining strong communication with trade partners, suppliers, inspectors, and homeowners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all phases of construction, ensuring adherence to plans, specifications, schedules, and budgets.
  • Manage daily operations on the jobsite, including scheduling subcontractors and material deliveries.
  • Conduct quality control inspections throughout construction to ensure craftsmanship meets company standards.
  • Enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized jobsite at all times.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers and Purchasing to resolve issues and keep projects on schedule.
  • Maintain accurate records, including daily reports, inspections, and schedules.
  • Coordinate with municipal inspectors and ensure compliance with local building codes.
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners during site visits, orientations, and warranty processes.
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in residential construction, preferably with a developer or custom home builder.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and safety procedures.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
  • Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Buildertrend, Procore, etc.) preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
