The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for coordinating daily warehouse operations to ensure the accurate, timely, and safe receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and finished goods. This role acts as the operational link between the warehouse team, inventory control, transportation, and other internal stakeholders (production, purchasing, customer service).
This is a 100% on-site position. Remote or hybrid work arrangements are not permitted due to the nature of the role.
This Is What You Can Expect To Be Doing Operations & Coordination- Coordinate daily inbound and outbound shipments, including receiving, put‑away, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Assign work, prioritize tasks, and support warehouse staff to meet service, safety and productivity targets.
- Act as the primary point of contact for shipment scheduling, carrier coordination and dock appointments.
- Resolve operational issues such as shortages, damages, delays or mis‑picks in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the inventory system.
- Perform and coordinate cycle counts and support physical inventories.
- Investigate inventory variances and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling and rotation (FIFO/FEFO as applicable).
- Enforce company safety rules and safe material‑handling practices.
- Ensure compliance with OH&S requirements and internal procedures.
- Participate in incident investigations and implement preventive measures.
- Promote housekeeping and 5S standards within the warehouse.
- Prepare and maintain shipping/receiving documentation.
- Track and report key operational metrics (e.g., inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, on‑time shipments).
- Maintain records for audits and compliance purposes.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflow, space utilization and productivity.
- Support implementation of process improvements, new systems, or layout changes.
- Train and coach warehouse employees on procedures and best practices.
Other tasks as appropriate.
Minimum Requirements You Need To Be Successful In This Role- 2–5 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Prior experience coordinating or leading warehouse activities preferred.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Working knowledge of inventory management and warehouse operations.
- Proficiency with WMS/ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
- Effective communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
- Forklift or powered industrial truck certification (asset).
- WHMIS and workplace health & safety training (asset).
- Fully bilingual:
English and French (spoken and written). - Hands‑on and field‑oriented; strong presence on the shop floor.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast‑paced and high‑growth environments.
- High attention to detail.
- High school diploma required; post‑secondary education in logistics, supply chain, or a related field is an asset.
