As a Trainer, you will provide initial and recurrent training, support safety/training management, and promote a “safety first” culture through hazard identification, risk control, policy development, and proactive audit programs. You will administer field station training for ramp and cargo operations via hands‑on and verbal instruction.

• Plan and deliver initial and recurrent training.
• Schedule and conduct Lead & Supervisor Aircraft Loading (SAL) training.
• Schedule and conduct GSE training.
• Promote a professional image at all times by applying company uniform standards.
• Ensure the safe and correct control of all resources on the ramp.
• Comply with all airlines ground handling regulations.
• Support corporate compliance applicable Management of Health and Safety at Work regulations.
• Assist employees and supervisors to take proactive and preventative measures to achieve compliance with health and safety legislation.
• Full compliance with airline handling manuals, airport disruption management policy, customer service promise, communications promise, POA procedures.
• Report any breaches of statutory requirements or company best practice to management.
• Maintain compliance with all government, customer, and company policies/procedures.
• Travel to other stations when required.
• Hold and maintain airport security clearance.
• Perform other duties as required.

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license, DA/AVOP, and Transport Canada security clearance.
• Basic knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Bilingual in English and French.
• At least 2 years of experience in ramp GSE, baggage tractor, belt loader, push‑back tractor (conventional).
• High school diploma with at least 2 years of ramp operations experience in a lead/supervisor or training capacity.
• Previous experience as a ramp lead with a satisfactory safety/performance record.
• Certified trainer for customers or ability to successfully complete customer training program.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work extended hours on short notice during non‑routine operations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Thorough knowledge of ground handling operations, aviation security, safety practices, legislation and customer/supplier relationships.
• Ability to obtain and hold all required security clearances.
• Ability to drive safety van and truck from one work site to another as needed.
• Working knowledge of GSE maintenance issues.
• Understanding of the wider airport operational environment.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs when required.
• Experience and understanding of commercial issues in aviation.
• Experience in health and safety management.
