The Specialty Materials segment manufactures products that provide more than 150 material formulations for glass, glass ceramics and fluoride crystals to meet demand for unique customer needs. Consequently, this segment operates in a wide variety of commercial and industrial markets that include display optics and components, semiconductor optics components, aerospace and defense, astronomy, ophthalmic products, telecommunications components and cover glass that is optimized for portable display devices.
Role Purpose
As a full stack developer, you will not only be building web applications but also architecting data ecosystems. You will leverage your background in the .NET stack to build custom integrations, strong data architectures, and exciting front-end interfaces built to delight our customers. If you enjoy variety, direct client interaction, and possess a "full stack + data" mindset, this is the role for you.
Key Responsibilities
Web Development & Integrations (.NET)
Design and implement web solutions using C#, .NET Core, and modern front-end frameworks (React and TypeScript)
Design, develop and build robust data integrations to move and transform data between client systems, third-party APIs, and our core platform
Develop and consume RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless communication between disparate software environments
Data Analytics & Visualization
Analyze client data structures to recommend improvements for data quality, consistency, and accessibility. Using these data structures to build collaborative web applications.
Quality Champion
Bringing your experience and expertise in ensuring code quality standards, performing Code Reviews and writing unit, integration and load tests as necessary
Required Education
3-5+ years of experience in software development or data engineering, backed by a solid education (Bachelor’s Degree)
Strong proficiency in C# / .NET Core
Hands-on experience with AWS services (Database, Compute, and Storage) and Mongo
DB Atlas
Experience working in a Kubernetes environment and building scalable microservices
Exceptional verbal and written skills; comfortable communicating with clients about their requirements and needs
