Position Summary:
The GTI Group is seeking a highly motivated Sales and Operations Specialist to join our growing team in Lachine, QC. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the full sales and operational lifecycle of transportation services, including dry van, reefer, container drayage, and flatbed freight. This is a hands-on role that requires expertise in both customer acquisition and carrier negotiation, with a strong focus on building and managing your own book of business from prospecting to delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling and outbound outreachDevelop and maintain strong relationships with shippers and carrier partnersBuild and manage a personal book of business by securing freight from new and existing clientsQuote, book, and manage shipments across multiple modes (dry van, reefer, drayage, flatbed)Negotiate competitive rates with both carriers and customers to ensure profitabilityCoordinate timely pickups and deliveries, resolving service issues as they ariseMaintain accurate records of all activities in our CRM and TMS systemsRequired
Skills & Experience:
Proven experience booking freight and negotiating with carriersSolid understanding of full dry van, reefer, flatbed, and container drayage transportationStrong cold calling and outbound prospecting capabilitiesExcellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skillsFamiliarity with CRM and TMS platforms is preferredSelf-driven, highly organized, and capable of managing workload independentlyWhy Join The GTI Group?
