About the Summer Research Professional Intern Position:

As a summer research professional intern, you have the opportunity to work on complex business problems within a collaborative environment. Summer Research professional interns can expect to work on multiple projects at a time across various practice areas and industries. Responsibilities and work experiences may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Analyzing healthcare data using algorithms and statistical programming in SAS, R, Stata, Python, VBA, and other programs
  • Developing data analyses using statistical methods and analytical tools including econometric estimation of models, survival analysis, and machine learning
  • Analyzing health care data from a variety of sources including administrative claims data, clinical trial data, registries, and medical chart data
  • Conducting a range of health economics analyses such as treatment pattern and outcomes, comparative effectiveness, cost-effectiveness, and budget impact
  • Creating dynamic visualizations to rapidly explore data and models
  • Examining market and industry behavior through targeted research
  • Reviewing and summarizing reports and client documents
  • Participating in meetings with medical experts, clients, and case team members
  • Assisting in the preparation of study reports, manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journal, abstracts and posters for presentation to scientific conferences, and other client deliverables
  • Groupe d’analyse fosters a progressive and academically oriented work environment, with an emphasis on teamwork and collaboration across diverse areas of expertise. Specifically, we seek candidates who are pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree, graduating in winter 2024 or spring/summer 2025, and have:

  • A degree focus in biostatistics, computer science, data science, economics, epidemiology, health economics, health policy, mathematics, physics, psychometrics, public health, statistics, or related subjects
  • Passion for using data and analytics to solve the economic, financial, and business challenges our clients face
  • Demonstrated analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills
  • Experience or a strong interest in statistical programming and data analysis
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • An excellent academic record
  • Effectively worked independently and within a team
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A desire to continuously learn and develop professionally
  • Research professional interns often re-join the firm to start their career as full-time employees. Full-time research professionals with bachelor’s degrees go on to top graduate programs; some return as associates after graduate school. Many research professionals with advanced degrees progress to the associate level.
