Job overview

Volatus Aerospace is seeking a bilingual, experienced Mid-to-Senior Aerospace Assembly Technician to join our production team in Mirabel.

The successful candidate will assemble high‑precision mechanical, electrical, and composite components in an ISO 9001, AS9100, CGP, and RSAP compliant environ ment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble drone sub‑systems and final assemblies following engineering drawings and work instructions.
  • Perform mechanical assembly, wiring, crimping, soldering, harness building, and avionics integration.
  • Work with composites (bonding, sealing, carbon fiber structures).
  • Conduct inspections, torque verification, and functional tests using calibrated tools.
  • Maintain documentation and traceability in accordance with AS9100.
  • Identify nonconformances and support corrective actions.
  • Train and mentor junior technicians and support process improvements.
  • Handle Controlled Goods and sensitive assemblies securely under CGP/RSAP requirements.
Qualifications
  • Technical diploma in Aerospace, Avionics, or Manufacturing Technology.
  • 5+ years in aerospace or high‑tech electromechanical assembly.
  • Strong ability to read drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.
  • Skilled in crimping, soldering, harness fabrication, and precision assembly.
  • Familiar with ERP/MRP systems (Net Suite an asset).
  • Eligible to obtain Canadian Security Clearance and CGP certification.
  • Bilingual (English/French) is mandatory.

Volatus Aerospace est à la recherche d’un(e) technicien(ne) principal(e) en assemblage aérospatial bilingue et expérimenté(e) pour rejoindre notre équipe de production à Mirabel.

La personne retenue participera à l’assemblage de composants mécaniques, électriques et composites de haute précision dans un environnement conforme aux normes ISO 9001, AS9100, au Programme des marchandises contrôlées (CGP) et au RSAP.

Responsabilités principales
  • Assembler des sous‑systèmes de drones et des assemblages finaux conformément aux dessins techniques et aux instructions de travail.
  • Effectuer des travaux d’assemblage mécanique, de câblage, de sertissage, de soudure, de fabrication de harnais et d’intégration avionique.
  • Travailler avec des matériaux composites (collage, étanchéité, structures en fibre de carbone).
  • Effectuer des inspections, vérifications de couple et essais fonctionnels à l’aide d’outils calibrés.
  • Assurer la documentation et la traçabilité conformément aux exigences AS9100.
  • Identifier les non‑conformités et soutenir les actions correctives.
  • Former et encadrer les techniciens juniors et contribuer à l’amélioration continue des processus.
  • Manipuler des marchandises contrôlées et des assemblages sensibles conformément aux exigences du CGP et du RSAP.
Qualifications
  • Diplôme technique en aérospatiale, avionique ou technologie de fabrication.
  • Minimum de 5 ans d’expérience en assemblage aérospatial ou électromécanique de haute technologie.
  • Excellente capacité à lire et interpréter des dessins techniques, nomenclatures (BOM) et documents techniques.
