Main responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Senior Manager, GI Journey and Distribution Insights, the manager will be involved in the following key activities:

  • Lead and develop a group of data analysts specializing in data, analytics, and explainability of results to accelerate profitable growth by unlocking initiatives and providing opportunities to support GI Journey team.
  • Recommend strategies for operational improvements and customer acquisition based on analytical findings.
  • Translate data and analysis into actionable insights
  • Manage work on key initiatives related to your respective pillar, workload management, and the development of innovative analytical solutions.
  • Contribute to the timely delivery and presentation of monitoring and ad hoc analyses to partners and executives across the organization.
  • Oversee end-to-end analyses and insights solutions over a range of complexity, from the initial demand to the delivery of reporting or analysis and presentation of results.
  • Apply an effective and collaborative approach to stakeholder management. Build and nurture positive working relationships with key partners and executives as appropriate.
  • Build for the future and provide people leadership; oversee personal development plans and strategies to attract, motivate and retain highly diverse, qualified and engaged team members.
  • Qualification

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
    Mathematics, Statistics, Business Intelligence, Finance, Economics, Information Technology, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
  • Followed by at least five (8) years of relevant experience, including:

    Expertise in analytics, data analysis, and statistical analysis

    Experience in the general insurance industry
  • Bilingual in English and French.
  • Experience or expertise in the general insurance
  • Highly developed problem-solving and analysis skills with consistent rigor in quality of work.
  • Uses innovation and creativity to improve work efficiency and results.
  • Effective in managing multiple priorities with strong organization and time management skills
  • Strong collaborator who engages colleagues, business partners and external stakeholders;
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.

    Collaborative and transparent in working with business partners.

    Effective team player with a strong sense of team spirit.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
