Main responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Senior Manager, GI Journey and Distribution Insights, the manager will be involved in the following key activities:

Lead and develop a group of data analysts specializing in data, analytics, and explainability of results to accelerate profitable growth by unlocking initiatives and providing opportunities to support GI Journey team.

Recommend strategies for operational improvements and customer acquisition based on analytical findings.

Translate data and analysis into actionable insights

Manage work on key initiatives related to your respective pillar, workload management, and the development of innovative analytical solutions.

Contribute to the timely delivery and presentation of monitoring and ad hoc analyses to partners and executives across the organization.

Oversee end-to-end analyses and insights solutions over a range of complexity, from the initial demand to the delivery of reporting or analysis and presentation of results.

Apply an effective and collaborative approach to stakeholder management. Build and nurture positive working relationships with key partners and executives as appropriate.

Build for the future and provide people leadership; oversee personal development plans and strategies to attract, motivate and retain highly diverse, qualified and engaged team members.

Qualification

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
Mathematics, Statistics, Business Intelligence, Finance, Economics, Information Technology, Actuarial Science, or a related field.

Followed by at least five (8) years of relevant experience, including:

Expertise in analytics, data analysis, and statistical analysis

Experience in the general insurance industry

Bilingual in English and French.

Experience or expertise in the general insurance

Highly developed problem-solving and analysis skills with consistent rigor in quality of work.

Uses innovation and creativity to improve work efficiency and results.

Effective in managing multiple priorities with strong organization and time management skills

Strong collaborator who engages colleagues, business partners and external stakeholders;

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.

Collaborative and transparent in working with business partners.

Effective team player with a strong sense of team spirit.

Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
