Responsible for assigned aircraft maintenance employees and the daily and overall operations of the aircraft maintenance department, such as technical performance, safety, schedules, personnel, quality, and the performance of all aircraft maintenance activities for multiple line maintenance site(s).
Develop annual Aircraft maintenance department budget including workforce requirements and approve payment of vendors’ or suppliers’ invoicesAchieve monthly financial objectives for Aircraft maintenance department i.e., labor margin, capital expenditures, and budgeted operating expensesEnsure all maintenance performed on aircraft, engines, avionics, and aircraft components meet FAA regulations, as well as customer quality expectationsMaintain compliance with all OSHA Health & Safety guidelines, as well as all Federal, State, and local environmental lawsInterface with customer representatives, coordinate customer communication activities and resolve any questions or disputes on customer invoiced for performed maintenanceDetermine staff training needs to maintain work force qualifications and productivityEnsure proper tooling and equipment is available to support operational requirementsActively support and integrate continuous improvement activities into program procedures and processesCollect and analyze service and maintenance data to identify trends and ensure margin performance is achievedAssist in the development of strategic plans to support new programs and capabilities based on analysis of market trends.How to thrive in this role?
Have 5 years experience working in an aircraft maintenance facility environment with at least 1 year supervisory experiencePossess a Bachelors degree in related area or equivalent years of experienceHave working knowledge of process improvement methodology and applicationHave accounting and budgeting principals acumen necessary to read and interpret profit/loss statements, financial reports, and meet financial objectives for assigned area and programsBe familiar with Environmental, Health & Safety rules and regulationsDemonstrate excellent interpersonal and customer service skillsPossess strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to forecast labor and skill requirementsHave excellent presentation skills necessary to effectively communicate with customers and all levels of managementDemonstrate effective leadership and coaching skills with the ability to develop peopleHave research and analytical skills necessary to collect, analyze, and interpret survey data, customer behaviors, and general trends within the applicable aircraft marketPossess proficient writing and computer skillsNow that you can see yourself in this role, apply and join the Bombardier family!
