POSITION SUMMARY :

The Project Manager oversees medium- and large-scale projects for the Corporation’s real estate portfolio, ensuring compliance with quality, health and safety policies, and environmental regulations. With their experience, they support colleagues, take on more complex projects and a higher volume, while providing the direction and pace needed for successful completion.
They ensure the execution of work and monitor schedules and costs according to agreed requirements, maintaining rigorous management and applying corrective measures as needed
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
:
Project Planning (20%)
Plans projects in collaboration with the requester (needs assessment) and ensures all aspects are considered (costs, timelines, communication, and quality);Conducts technical feasibility studies;Recommends the project delivery method;Coordinates administrative and technical aspects (calls for tenders, bid analysis, contract awards) in collaboration with the procurement department;Acts as an advisor to requesters throughout all project phases.Project Management (60%)
Administers contractor agreements for project execution;Coordinates multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors;Establishes schedules and monitors progress according to plans and specifications with internal collaborators (cost, quality, timeline) and produces periodic progress reports;Negotiates additional pricing requests from contractors and consultants;Prepares and chairs management and coordination meetings;Approves supplier timesheets;Provides solutions to issues raised by various project stakeholders;Ensures compliance with the Corporation’s standards, norms, and procedures;Ensures systems meet construction, safety, and environmental standards.Technical Support (20%)
Provides technical support and acts as an advisor on maintenance and sustainable construction;Validates and/or prepares plans and specifications;Ensures internal stakeholder satisfaction;Updates “as-built” plans, operation manuals, maintenance guides, training materials, etc., at project completion;Keeps knowledge current in their field;Works with the Director to develop and improve tools to ensure efficiency and best practices in project management tasks;Shares expertise to support other Project Managers while maintaining collaborative relationships.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE :
10 to 15 years of project management experience related to buildings and infrastructureExperience coordinating work teamsBachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or other relevant construction-related fieldComputer skills: MS Office Suite, AutoCADExcellent knowledge of regulations and codes in the construction and building sectorValid driver’s license, an assetDESIRED SKILLS :
