ROBIC, a firm recognized as THE reference in intellectual property, is looking for a Business Law and Intellectual Property Lawyer to join our dynamic Montreal team.
In this role, you will act as an expert in business law and intellectual property for start-ups as well as companies at various stages of maturity. You will support them in the creation and evolution of their business and become a true partner in their success and growth. You will participate in major transactions in the fields of mergers and acquisitions, corporate financing, venture capital, and corporate reorganizations, among others, and will also have the opportunity to work on matters related to technology transfers, licensing, and collaborations.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial contracts;
Lead transactions for various types of clients;
Advise clients on all aspects of business law: incorporation, reorganization, shareholder agreements, financing, mergers and acquisitions;
Provide legal advice on intellectual property: protection of innovations, collaborations, technology transfers, and licensing;
Assist clients in developing, managing, and protecting their intangible assets;
Work closely with other team members to provide integrated and strategic services;
Conduct legal research and ensure regulatory monitoring.
REQUIREMENTS
Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in transactional law;
Active member of the Quebec Bar;
Proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written;
Ability to lead a transaction independently;
Strong knowledge of corporate, contractual, commercial, and transactional law;
Knowledge of business creation and financing;
Experience and knowledge in intellectual property, an asset.
