JOB DESCRIPTION:
" years of experieceIntermediate to advanced COBOL programming skillsAbility to troubleshoot failed batch jobs and programsProvide production support for the main client deposit system DepoSupport the nightly batch on an oncall basisInvestigate and resolve any technical issues incidents or processing anomalies occurring in the batchProvide the response and required explanation for any user inquiry related to the apps including account and interest statementsProvide data extractions on balances accounts and transactions users may requestPerform analysis for enhancements to be developedProvide estimates for developments and testing effortsPrepare technical design and technical specifications documents as requiredMaintain the applications technical documentationPerform integrated testing with related applications as assignedMaintain the current status of all assigned requests in JiraCreate and manage the change requests for the applicationUpdate the team leader and management on all assignments dailyAdhere to all client policies and mandatory training requirements in a timely mannerTechnical Profile:Experience in the Open VMS operating system preferredIntermediate to advanced OS scripting skills preferably in Open VMS DCLDevelopment skills for system enhancements ad hoc requests and data extractionsBeginner to intermediate SQL query skills in an Oracle database or similarBatch support experience working with Control M or a comparable enterprise job schedulerFamiliarity with the SPLC and change request simple mentationIntermediate to advanced PLSQL and Oracle database skillsIntermediate to advanced Linux scripting skillsFunctional Profile:Experience in the banking or other financial services industryKnowledge of accounting at least a basic levelExperience with or understanding of deposit account interest calculationPrevious exposure to SWIFT statements is a plusDocumentation skills for developments implementation release plans and run book updatesLanguage Fluent in English French is a plus
