Summary

Network Security Engineers offer support for a wide variety of network security–related devices, including firewalls, proxies, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and others. Technologies include cloud providers (AWS, Azure, OCI) and vendors such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, F5, and Juniper. The role is a 1‑year contract with the possibility of renewal.

• Device upkeep and maintenance, ensuring configuration consistency across client‑managed platforms.
• Participate in change management, device patching schedules, and security advisory reviews.
• Troubleshoot network incidents and assist lower‑level support resources.
• Validate complex infrastructure changes in lab/sandbox environments.
• Stay current with the latest security trends and cutting‑edge network technologies.
• Ensure technical documentation is up to date and accurately logged.
• Knowledge transfer and participation in on‑call rotation.
• Document all relevant activities and actions to maintain a viable security audit trail.
• Test supported devices in a lab environment, ensuring firmware upgrades are applied safely and devices continue to protect customer environments from latest threats.

• 3+ years of network operations experience, 1+ year of network security experience (firewalls, network access, security controls).
• Strong knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol suite, routing (BGP), and cloud computing (AWS, Azure).
• Proven client‑management experience and strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks within established time frames.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently without direct supervision, and meets tight deadlines.
• Flexibility in work schedule.
• Cloud vendor certifications (AWS, Azure) and networking certifications (CCNP, Palo Alto PCNSA, CompTIA Security+) are preferred.
