Position Summary: As a Human Resources Business Partner, you will play a key role in driving HR strategies to align with business objectives that enhance employee engagement and foster a positive culture. This role combines strategic planning with hands‑on implementation to deliver impactful HR solutions while partnering closely with leaders in the assigned client group to offer expert guidance on all HR matters and initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leaders, providing HR insights and guidance to support strategic decisions and operational goals.
  • Effectively collaborate and/or support client group leaders and employees with all HR‑related matters.
  • Lead key strategic HR initiatives as identified through corporate goal setting with sound project‑management skills.
  • Drive organizational development by partnering with leaders to evaluate and enhance structures, roles, and processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives and fostering long‑term effectiveness.
  • With expertise, understand business needs and challenges to best develop or provide solutions that influence positive outcomes.
  • Oversee and partner with leaders for annual talent‑management processes such as performance reviews and succession planning, assisting leaders in identifying high‑potential employees and successors for key positions.
  • Effectively advise people leaders on performance‑management matters such as development plans and performance‑improvement plans.
  • Partner with people leaders on complex employee‑relations issues and provide guidance on the interpretation and application of all employment‑related legislation and company policies to mitigate potential risks.
  • Manage disability cases relating to short‑ and long‑term disability, WCB, CNESST, and/or WSIB claims.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with management and employees at all levels to realize the most effective outcomes of people plans and strategies.
  • Leverage HR data and analytics to identify trends and provide actionable insights; prepare presentation decks with generated data that provides compelling narratives when required.
Qualifications and Skills
  • A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in human resources, having spent a minimum of 5 years delivering strategic, client‑facing HR solutions in an HR Business Partner role.
  • Post‑secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources.
  • Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP/CHRL) designation is considered an asset.
  • Bilingualism in French and English (verbal and written) is required.
  • Proven ability to drive continuous improvement, implementing scalable HR solutions that align with current and future business goals.
  • Strong functional knowledge in all aspects of human‑resources practices, policies and programs.
  • Deep understanding of employment legislation with preference for knowledge of the Canada Labour Code and experience working in a federally regulated environment.
  • Experience working in fast‑paced, dynamic environments, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs and priorities with a sense of urgency and flexibility.
  • A self‑starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining a sense of teamwork.
