What we are looking for:
Under the supervision of the Director, Total Rewards, the Advisor will play an important support role within Fiera Capital’s Compensation Administration team. This position will work closely with the Manager and Advisor to ensure accurate and timely execution of compensation-related activities. The incumbent will assist with data preparation, validation, reporting, and ongoing administrative tasks related to monthly commissions, incentive programs, and compensation governance.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who enjoys working with data, supporting monthly cycles, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Your responsibilities:
Manage and calculate Public Markets compensation plans in accordance with approved plan rules and governance standards, while serving as a reliable backup across other compensation programs as required
Collect, validate, and transform complex data sets to support accurate and timely incentive compensation calculations
Play a role in job leveling initiatives by evaluating roles, responsibilities, and scope using established job architecture and evaluation frameworks
Support the design, maintenance, and governance of salary structures and compensation bands to ensure internal equity and market alignment
Conduct market benchmarking using external compensation surveys to support competitive, equitable, and data-driven pay decisions
Develop clear, well-supported recommendations related to job levels, salary ranges, and compensation adjustments for leadership review
Extract, reconcile, and validate data from multiple HR, payroll, and financial systems, ensuring high standards of accuracy, completeness, and data integrity
Support month-end and year-end close activities with finance
Ensure compensation documentation, internal controls, and audit requirements are consistently met and well-documented
Provide strong analytical, technical, and administrative support to the Compensation team
Partner closely with the Director, Total Rewards on ad hoc compensation initiatives, special analyses, and leadership requests
Contribute to the continuous improvement of compensation processes, templates, tools, and governance documentation
Proactively identify opportunities to streamline workflows, strengthen controls, and enhance operational efficiency
Support the implementation of new compensation tools, trackers, reporting solutions, and automation initiatives
Must have requirements to be successful in this role:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Actuarial Science, Commerce, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in compensation or total rewards
Professional HR or compensation designations (e.g., CHRP or CCP) considered strong assets
CPA designation or equivalent accounting/finance background, with demonstrated strength in financial modeling and complex calculations
Expert knowledge of Excel;
Proficiency with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with database reporting programs
Proven experience designing, implementing, and administering compensation programs, including base salary structures, short-term incentives, and commission plans
Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail and process rigor; able to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
Ability to operate effectively in an agile, fast-paced, and evolving environment
Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to partner effectively with leaders and stakeholders
Strong written and verbal communication skills in French, with functional proficiency in English
Comfortable working in a dynamic organization undergoing change and growth
