Your Opportunity
Our BDO Canada Offices are looking for an Insolvency Counsellor. This is a new role. The successful candidate would be joining the Personal Debt Solutions team in-office and own the following responsibilities:
Assist debtors and creditors, both in person and virtually, as it relates to bankruptcies and proposals
Perform BIA Counselling covering topics including budgeting & credit rebuilding
Review files/documents for review with client to ensure compliance with duties under their insolvency filing
Community outreach, business development and presentations

Your Experience And Education
Successful completion of CAIRP Practical course on Insolvency Counseling
Two or more years of relevant work experience in an Insolvency or Credit Counseling or other relevant areas
Great interpersonal skills to deal with team members, debtors, and creditors
Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills to respond to different situations
Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
Takes personal ownership and responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel
Excellent time management and organizational skills
A team player who can also work independently
The expected range of compensation for this role is $40,000 to $82,000 annually.
