Our Corporate Finance Team is a dynamic team looking for an Senior Analyst, IFRS and Financial
Reporting. The IFRS and Financial Reporting Analyst will be a proactive
member of the Corporate Finance Team and will participate in all aspects of publishing the consolidated financial statements and management and discussion analysis of the Company. The candidate should be technically strong in accounting (IFRS), financial analysis and enjoy working in a collaborative team environment.
B. Essential Functions of the Analyst, IFRS and Financial Reporting:
Assists with the review of the quarterly and annual reporting packages of the divisions;
Assists with the review of the monthly results and information of the divisions loaded into the
consolidation system;
Supports and assists the Senior Director of Finance with the preparation of the quarterly and
annual consolidated financial statements, and other financial reporting documents;
Assists in designing and preparing reports and adhoc analysis for internal or external purpose;
Participates in the interpretation and implementation of IFRS accounting analysis and related
training to divisions;
Assists with the monthly review of IFRS 16 process (review of the new leases entered into the
system and journal entries recorded by the divisions);
Assists with the preparation and review of statutory financial statements of divisions; and
Assists with the continuous improvement of financial and management reporting requirements.
General requirements for the position:
CPA designation;
1 to 4 years of experience in a large multi-national, multi-currency organization or with a
recognized accounting firm;
Strong knowledge of IFRS and solid understanding of financial statements prepared under IFRS;
Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
Self-starter with the ability to independently research and think through issues;
Ability to work autonomously, with others and as part of a team;
Well organized and ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines;
Strong computer skills, especially in Excel and Adobe Acrobat Pro;
Strong written and oral communication skills - French and English abilities (environment is
bilingual; written work mostly English and proof reading of French language public documents and
filings on SEDAR);
Knowledge of financial consolidation systems, preferably Cognos Controller, will be considered an asset; and
Knowledge of lease accounting system, preferably Pro Lease, will be considered an asset.
