A career in our tax credits and government incentives practice at PwC Canada offers the opportunity to help clients solve complex business issues related to tax credits and incentives. In the context of our team’s growth and the introduction of new complex tax credits, you will act as a tax subject matter expert and assist in identifying and maximizing federal and provincial tax credits and incentives to support clients' business objectives.

You will manage end-to-end engagements and client relationships, strengthen the team’s tax expertise, and actively contribute to the growth of the practice.

As a Tax Creditsand Government Incentives Senior  Associate,you'llworkwithateamofprofessionalsto helpourclientswiththepreparationoftheirtaxcreditsandgovernmentincentivesclaims.

Responsibilitiesincludebut are notlimitedto:

  • Lead complex tax credits and government incentives engagements from end-to-end, includingidentifyingrelevant programs applicable to clients’ projects and preparing tax forms, incentives applications and supporting documentation

  • Conduct in-depth tax research, prepare technical positions, analyze,interpretand apply newly enacted or evolving tax legislation, translating it into practical client solutions (including federal clean economy investment tax credits, Quebec Incentive for the commercialization of innovations, C3I etc.)

  • Manage audits and tax authorities’ interactions

  • Manage a portfolio of clients, including direct communication, understanding business needs and proactive file follow-up whilemaintaininga high levelof quality and professional standards

  • Simplify complex messages and tax legislation, and communicate key insights clearly to diverse audiences

  • Collaborate closely with other members of the team and other departments

  • Contribute to the growth and development of the tax credits and government incentives practice, particularly in response to evolving tax measures and client needs

  • Stay informed on global and local trends and their impact on clients to shape strategic perspectives

  • Experiences and skillsyou’lluse to solve

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or law

  • Advanced tax training, ideally a master's in taxation or the CPA Canada's In-Depth Tax Programis an asset

  • Between 3–4 years of relevant experience in taxation (previousspecialisedexperience in tax credits is not mandatory but considered an asset)

  • Strong ability toanalyzeand interpret complex tax legislation

  • Highly autonomous,proactiveand capable of managing complex files from start to finish

  • Strong advisory and client relationship skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to thrive in a consulting environment with multiple simultaneous assignments

  • Excellent interpersonal skills,good communicationand presentation abilities

  • Ability to think strategically, work independently and contribute to the team

  • The successful candidaterequiresfluency in English, in addition to French as they willbe requiredto support or collaborate with English-speaking clients, colleagues and/or stakeholders during their employment with PwC Canada

    The salary range for this position is $58,400 - $97,500. The posted salary rangerepresentsthe expected hiring range for PwC locations in major citycenters. Given our national recruiting approach, ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada, base salary isdeterminedby your skills, experience,qualificationsand work location. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may have opportunities toparticipatein variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm-wide achievements.
