The A220 Commercial Aircraft Program is seeking a Method Agent to join our Method Support team based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada).

You will be part of the Method Support team responsible for coordinating essential actions to resolve major issues impacting the assembly line. The team's structure is designed to promote autonomous cross‑functional collaboration, supporting each other and learning collectively.

In your role you will work closely with other Methods teams to develop and revise work methodologies as well as write work instructions for production. You will work closely with engineering, production, logistics, and quality functions. Investigating root causes of problems and participating in the analysis of solutions are all part of the job's responsibilities.

  • Interpret, verify and recognize drawings and other documents from engineering department;
  • Establish assembly and manufacturing strategies for aircraft components;
  • Define the tools needed to manufacture or assemble aircraft components to ensure the required geometric tolerancing;
  • Harmonize the implementation of engineering or assembly strategy changes by working in close collaboration with the engineering, materials logistics, quality and production;
  • Be on the lookout for ways to improve assembly and manufacturing strategies in addition to taking part in research and development projects.
Your Profile
  • You have a college diploma (DEC / AEC) and/or a university degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or aeronautical manufacturing, or in a related discipline;
  • You have at least 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in the manufacturing sector;
  • You have knowledge of interior finishing (an asset);
  • You have a general knowledge of the dependencies between the different positions of the aeronautical manufacturing system;
  • You possess detailed knowledge of planning, logistics, quality, and production processes; you demonstrate strong leadership, are capable of questioning processes, but also have a willingness to help your colleagues and other functions grow.
