JOBPURPOSE
The Manager, Responsible Level III, NDT is responsible for providing leadership in NDT area and provides guidance and supervision to the NDT team. He is also to ensure that the requirements of NAS-410 are met by both company and NDT Personnel and customer CMM NDT Inspection requirements are maintained.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES- He shall report to Skyservice’s Director of Maintenance.
- Ensures all Non-Destructive Inspections performed on aircraft and aircraft components carried out by all Skyservice NDT personnel are in compliance with the quality system outlined in this manual.
- Co-ordinates in-house and approved external training and NAS-410 qualifications of personnel employed within the Skyservice NDT Department.
- Ensures all detailed inspection records are properly kept.
- Ensues all suppliers of NDT equipment/products and calibrations are audited.
- Reviews/updates NDT Procedure Manual and ensures guidelines are being met.
- New equipment evaluation and submitting subsequent procurement requests to ensure NDTequipment is appropriate for new inspection requirements.
- Co-ordinates self-generated NDT Annual Inter-departmental Audits and prepares facilities for the annual company NDT audits conducted by SKYSERVICE’s QA Department.
- Ensures all test equipment is calibrated in conformity with a procedure traceable to a national standard and records are kept up to date and properly maintained.
- Ensures all radiation safety procedures are followed to meet safety level guidelines,established by the Radiation Protection Documents.
- Informs VP of Maintenance of all discrepancies found during the exercise of these functions.
- Certified Level III on all NDT techniques.
- Support and perform NDT on aeronautical products.
- Develop client relation and increase client base.
- Minimum of 7 years NDT aerospace experience, NDT Level III certification required.
- A minimum of two years supervisory experience is required.
- Thorough knowledge of all aspects of NDT inspection.
- Sound knowledge of Quality systems.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from group of managers, clients.
- Self-starter: ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Requires travel and overtime availability.
- Good PC skills, written & verbal communications skills.
- Training and/or education in computer system is including word processing, spreadsheets and technical applications is an asset.
- Ability to read analyze and interpret general business periodical, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports business correspondence and procedure manuals.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Root Cause and Corrective Actions analysis and auditing methodology.
- Demonstrates a good attitude and initiative to develop the position activities.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- NDT formal education
- Management training is an asset.
