We are looking for a senior engineering leader to oversee structural design and engineering conception, with a focus on managing and developing resources across the organization in coordination with Support, Product Development, Defense, Aftermarket, and other sectors.

• Act as the functional director for concept design disciplines, with emphasis on management and development of resources across the organization in coordination with Support, Product Development, Defense, Aftermarket and other sectors.
• Lead the design team to provide effective solutions for complex technical problems.
• Serve as the organization’s recognized authority on structural design, applying roles, responsibilities and methodologies.
• Mentor, advise and establish a structured approach to develop the team’s expertise in this function.
• Be responsible for standardizing tools and processes and implementing low-cost strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with the functional Stress Director to support global engineering commitments.
• Participate in product development reviews to contribute at an equivalent level.
• Communicate progress and program/project updates to executives and clients.
• Travel to different company sites to ensure responsibilities are met.
• Monitor and control the budget and staffing needs associated.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering (a PhD in a relevant field is an asset).
• More than 15 years of relevant experience in structural design and stress engineering in the aerospace industry.
• Proficiency with Transport Canada, FAA and EASA regulations.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in team management.
• Experience managing one or more high-priority projects requiring integration and coordination across multiple departments and functions.
• Experience negotiating contracts with suppliers.
• Ability to communicate with executives, clients and stakeholders at various levels.
• Nice-to-have: bilingual in French and English;
  English is essential.
