Independent Contractor Opportunity – Flight Deck Integration & Human Factors Engineer

Location:

Dorval, QC | Hybrid | 18–24 months | Mid-Senior Level

We are seeking an Independent Contractor to join a team focused on flight deck design and human factors in Dorval, QC. This role ensures that cockpit interfaces are ergonomic, intuitive, and compliant with aviation standards.

• Develop and maintain HMI design specifications for flight deck displays and controls
• Perform requirements capture, verification & validation
• Lead small projects and provide technical guidance
• Support development and certification testing (bench, simulator, aircraft)
• Ensure adherence to aerospace regulations and standards
• Conduct Human Error Analysis and assist in design reviews

• 6–9 years of experience in flight deck systems or avionics integration
• Knowledge of flight operations and aerospace regulations
• Familiarity with standards (MIL STD, SAE ARP, ARINC)
• Strong technical writing and communication skills

Expected start:
Spring 2026

Mobility:
Occasional business trips

Language:
English required, French an asset
