We are seeking an Industrial Engineering Intern to support initiatives that improve operational efficiency and advance strategic priorities.
This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experiencein process optimization, data analysis, and field operations within a fast-pacedlogisticsenvironment.
Responsibilities
Analyze and improve operational flows, automation strategies, and manual sorting processes across sites
Contribute to the development of operating standards and continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principlesandergonomicstandards
Support the design, testing, and implementation of newstations, including layout planning and equipmentselection
Create and update technical drawingson
AutoCAD,validatingdesigns withengineering
Conduct data analysis on throughput, costs, and quality metrics to define sorting thresholds and support decision-making
Participate in field visits to gather insights, assess equipment performance, and support project execution
Assistin preparing visual aids, documentation, and recommendations for automation and material handling projects
The role involves daily (or regular) communication with pan-Canadian stakeholders.
Qualifications
Currently pursuing abachelor's degreein industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
Strong interest in operational excellence and performance improvementwithaneagerness to learn.
Proficientin Excel, with a focus on data analysis
Understanding
RFI, RFP, and RFQ processesis an asset.
Familiarity with automated warehouse or HUB environmentsis an asset.
Working knowledgeof
AutoCADandexperience with simulation softwareis an asset.
Proactiveandsolutiondriven mindset.
Willingness to travel to various locations for project support and site visits, with flexibility to accommodate operational hours, including early mornings or late evenings.
