Compensation Range: $47800-$71700

Compensation may vary based on applicant's work experience, education level, skill set, and/or location.

Job Purpose

Provide technical and application support for Ener Sys products and services, in the assigned area against profitable margins and in line with the business plan, in order to contribute to the realization of service- related sales and service targets

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supports daily shop and warehouse operations, including organization, staging, and housekeeping.
  • Performs shipping and receiving activities, including preparation and verification of shipments and documentation.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and repair customer’s equipment including washes, cleans, and neutralizes customers’ batteries forming discharge tests evaluations using appropriate meters to control charge and discharge parameters
  • Assists with the installation and/or removal of motive power batteries
  • Replaces defective parts, reassembles battery, and fuses lead parts with gas torch. Adds acid or water to obtain specified concentration.
  • Operates material handling equipment per OSHA requirements.
  • Performs inspections and analyzes findings to determine source of problem, and recommends repair, replacement, or other corrective action.
  • Maintains accurate service, inventory, and shipping records using company systems.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and transportation regulations.
  • Maintains a safe, orderly and clean working environment- clean warehouse in service area at the end of the day.
  • Follows all company policies and procedures as listed, but not limited to: warranty, safety, environmental, OSHA, DOT Hazmat, and ISO
    9000.

Qualifications

  • Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or equivalent. Experience working in a shop, warehouse, or shipping/receiving environment would be an asset.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions which lead to proper customer solutions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must complete Enersys Canada Inc. Service Representative Training Course within 6 to 12 months. Must complete forklift training.
