crea-ture Studios Inc. is a small, hybrid studio focused on making games in a different way. We are looking for an experienced Technical Audio Designer with a deep understanding of audio integration, sound design, and implementation pipelines, with crossover skills in interactive audio systems.

Our ideal candidate thrives in a creative environment, is comfortable working from both structured audio direction and experimental concepts. You will collaborate closely with other audio members and technical teams to define the sonic identity of the game, crafting immersive, high-quality audio experiences that align with artistic, creative, and gameplay intentions. A passion for or experience with dynamic, adaptive audio systems is highly valued.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work closely with Sound Designers and Programmers to integrate and optimize sound assets in Wwise and Unreal
  • Designing, implementing and managing complex audio systems within Wwise
  • Work alongside feature teams determining technical needs and constraints for audio implementation
  • Designing systems in Wwise with multiplayer in mind
  • Manage Wwise project organization, structures, sound banks, raw assets, gameplay parameter setups and optimizations
  • Define and apply best practices of technical audio workflows to support the audio team
  • Provide a solid plan for memory budgets, import settings and other technical aspects such as console limitations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve audio-related issues
REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience in Audio in the games industry in a technical sound designer or similar role
  • Exceptional Wwise skills
  • Deep understanding of technical audio constraints regarding audio implementation of current console platforms & PC
  • Proficient with Unreal & Perforce
  • Proficient with modern DAW’s & Audio Plugins
  • Experience with the entire videogame production cycle, from preproduction tolive operations
  • Solid Understanding of Interactive Music in Wwise a plus
