What we are looking for:
Under the supervision of the Director, Total Rewards, the Technician will play an important support role within Fiera Capital’s Compensation Administration team. This position will work closely with the Manager and Advisor to ensure accurate and timely execution of compensation-related activities. The incumbent will assist with data preparation, validation, reporting, and ongoing administrative tasks related to monthly commissions, incentive programs, and compensation governance.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who enjoys working with data, supporting monthly cycles, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Your responsibilities:
Collect, organize, and prepare data required for the calculation of various elements of incentive compensation programs
Assist with the monthly processing and validation of commission files and incentive pay
Support the team in preparing analyses, reports, dashboards, and tracking tools
Retrieve data from Workday, Salesforce, SAP and internal trackers; verify completeness and accuracy
Help ensure documentation, controls, and audit requirements are met for compensation operations
Assist the Manager and Advisor with month-end closing activities and prepare supporting documentation for accruals
Coordinate with HR Operations to verify employee movements, compensation changes, and Workday data accuracy
Provide administrative and technical support to the Compensation team as needed
Assist the Director in any other tasks related to the nature of the role
Contribute to improving compensation processes, templates, and documentation
Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and increase operational efficiency
Support the implementation of new tools, trackers, or automation enhancements
Must have requirements to be successful in this role:
Diploma of collegial studies (DEC) in Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
Strong knowledge of Excel is a requirement (pivot tables, vlookup, sum if’s, basic formulas)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities
Strong sense of organization, confidentiality, and professionalism
Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
Proficiency in French and functional English (spoken and written)
