Day Shift Security Officer – Montpelier, VT

Securitas is hiring for a Full‑Time Security Officer immediately to help keep our government‑client site safe in Montpelier.

Pay: $25.00/hr

Schedule:
Full-time (40 hrs/week), Mon‑Fri 7:30 am‑4:30 pm (30‑min unpaid lunch)

* This position is for a temporary detail running until May 2026. After the contract ends, our hiring team will help you find other permanent sites.

• Provide excellent customer service with a strong sense of professionalism
• Observe and report on the property, identifying and responding to any potential threat or safety hazard
• Conduct hourly foot patrols of the property
• Operate a walk‑through metal detector and X‑ray baggage scanner
• Conduct screenings with a handheld wand detector

• Highly personable with strong customer‑service skills – comfortable with frequent public interactions
• High level of professionalism
• Walking/standing for long periods of time
• VT Guard Card – hiring team will assist with license application after hire
• Valid driver’s license
• At least 18 years old
