Day Shift Security Officer
Montpelier, VT
Full-Time Security Officer – Pay: $25.00/hr –
Schedule:
40 hours/week, Monday through Friday, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm (30 minute unpaid lunch break)
This position is for a temporary detail which will run until May 2026. Once the contract ends, our hiring team will assist you in finding other sites to continue working on a permanent basis.
No Security Experience Required

Job Duties
- Provide excellent customer service with a strong sense of professionalism
- Observe and report in and near the property, identifying and responding to any potential threat or safety hazard
- Conduct hourly foot patrols of the property
- Operate a walk-through metal detector and X-ray baggage scanner
- Conduct screenings with a handheld wand detector
- Highly personable with strong customer service skills – must be comfortable with frequent interactions with the public
- High level of professionalism
- Walking/standing for long periods of time
- VT Guard Card – our hiring team will assist you in applying for this license once hired
- Valid driver's license
- At least 18 years old
