Travel RN - Med​/Surg - Long Term Care

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Long Term Care position at a rehabilitation and nursing facility in Vermont, requiring a minimum of 3 years of LTC experience and prior travel nursing experience.

Job Details

• Long-term care setting within a rehabilitation and nursing facility,

• Unit:
Spruce Commons,

• Patient population includes residents with dementia; all travelers must be comfortable working with this population,

• 12-hour day shifts on a Monday-Sunday rotating schedule; no block scheduling,

• Floating to other units is required,

• Minimum every other weekend required; schedule may be adjusted to meet unit and patient care needs,

• 16-32 week assignment,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license - VT or Compact license accepted; NY license accepted with proof of pending application included,

• Current BLS certification through AHA required,

• Minimum of 3 years of RN experience required,

• Prior LTC experience required,

• Prior travel nursing experience required,

• Two professional references from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor required for consideration - at least one from the past 6 months and one from within the past year of employment,

• SSN and DOB required for consideration,

• Reliable personal or rental vehicle required; public transportation is not accessible in this area,

• Vehicle must be equipped with all-season or snow tires during November-April,

Additional Information

• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility (straight-line distance) are considered local; candidates 51-100 miles away are eligible for the travel rate,

• Bi-weekly orientations held on Mondays,

• All pre-planned time off must be communicated prior to the start of the assignment; time-off requests will not be honored once the assignment begins,

• Employment gaps of more than 90 days must be explained,

• Complete work history is required, including bed count, EMR, and facility type
