Med-Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse

Location:

Berlin, VT

Assignment Duration:
This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule:

12-hour night shifts with every other weekend commitment and no on-call requirements. Flexibility to pick up additional shifts is available.

We seek an experienced Med-Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse to provide quality patient care in an acute medical-surgical unit. The ideal candidate will possess strong telemetry experience, able to apply, interpret rhythms, and take action in a fast-paced environment.

• Provide excellent patient care in a fast-paced Med-Surg unit with a telemetry focus.
• Conduct telemetry strip interpretations and respond effectively to changes in patient conditions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery.
• Perform unit-specific procedures such as NG tube insertion and peripheral IV insertion.
• Engage in patient and family education regarding health conditions and treatments.

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 1 year in Med-Surg Telemetry.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Telemetry certification is strongly preferred.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required prior to starting.
• Experience in a 300+ bed facility or previous work at a UVMHN acute care facility is necessary.
• Epic documentation experience within the past 2 years is mandatory.
