Independent Contracted Hairdresser

Shifts Available: Part time 8-12 hours per week

The Gary Residence has an opportunity for a licensed, caring hairdresser for our residents. As an independent contractor, you will set your own service fees and schedule. There is no monthly salon rental; in return, we ask that you provide quality work and have a caring attitude. It is rewarding to see how much a weekly shampoo and set or new hair cut does for our residents!

Responsibilities:

• Keep salon clean and tidy after every shift.
• Observes for and informs RN promptly about any changes in residents’ usual behavior, condition, or functional abilities.
• Practices patience, compassion, and empathy in all interactions with residents.

Qualifications:

• Current licensure to work in the State of Vermont.
• Experience interacting with elderly.
• Must pass appropriate background checks and be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
