Starting Hourly Rate / Salario por Hora Inicial: $17.00 USD per hour.

All about Target and On-Demand roles: as an On-Demand Team Member (TM), you can work as much or as little as you like and select shifts via the myTime scheduling app. Shifts vary by store needs and may require you to be flexible with schedule. Attendance and participation are essential for success in this role. You may be offered a short-term training and Welcome orientation prior to starting scheduled shifts.

Greet, thank and exceed guest service expectations; empower to make shopping quick and easy at checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up; be knowledgeable about store capabilities and guest loyalty features.

What you do and the day-to-day: you will have duties across guest service, checkout, digital services, fulfillment, and related store operations, with focus on delivering a positive guest experience and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests during daily tasks.
• Engage with guests to understand and solve their needs; be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store to resolve issues and improve guest experience.
• Assist with checkout, bagging, and compliance with food safety standards and company best practices.
• Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service quality and accuracy.
• Inform guests about current and upcoming brand launches, store activities and events.
• Explain benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with enrollment; direct guests to enrollment and use of fulfillment services.
• Demonstrate how to use Wallet and other Target App features.
• Handle returns and follow register prompts, escalating with leaders as needed while following policies and procedures.
• De-escalate situations when needed and recover the guest shopping experience in line with policies.
• Provide easy and accurate service to Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests.
• Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area; stock supplies during store hours and assist guests as required.
• Adhere to safety, ethics and compliance; report hazards and address where possible.
• Support guest services such as order pick up, Drive-up orders and returns, and maintain compliance with relevant laws (including adult beverage laws).
• Assist with Cash Office processes as needed, including management of cash systems.
• All other duties based on business needs.

  Effective communication, ability to stay composed in a fast-paced environment, welcoming attitude, attention to detail, willingness to educate guests about products and services, ability to use handheld scanners and technology, ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Accurately handle cash register operations and cash office tasks as needed.
• Ability to scan, handle and move merchandise safely; lifting up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally with or without assistance.
• Flexibility to pick up shifts (nights, weekends, holidays) to meet store needs.
• Active engagement by picking up shifts and responding to contact attempts; missing shifts for 5 months may lead to administrative termination.
• Maintain mobility during shifts; work in varying temperatures and environments depending on duties such as Drive-Up or carryout.
