Help Us Connect Business & CommunityThe Monticello Chamber of Commerce & Industry is seeking a motivated, organized, and community-focused Part-Time Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of our Chamber office.
This position plays an important role in delivering excellent customer service to our members and the community, while supporting administrative operations, communications, and Chamber events. This is a part‑time position requiring 15–20 hours per week
, with flexibility as needed based on Chamber events and seasonal activity.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls
- Greet and assist members and visitors
- Manage incoming and outgoing emails
- Perform data entry and maintain membership database records
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems
- Schedule meetings and appointments
- Provide general office and operational support
- Assist with member account updates and engagement efforts
- Follow up regarding invoices, renewals, and event participation
- Maintain accurate member records
- Support onboarding of new Chamber members
- Prepare and process invoices
- Track payments and assist with basic reporting
- Maintain accurate transaction and communication records
- Assist with social media content and scheduling (Facebook, Instagram, Linked In)
- Track engagement and basic analytics
- Help prepare newsletters and email communications
- Support event promotion and sponsor recognition
- Assist with preparation and coordination of Chamber events
- Support registration tracking
- Coordinate materials and signage
- Provide event‑day assistance when available
- Support special projects and seasonal initiatives
- Perform follow‑up tasks as assigned by the Executive Director or Business Development Director
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Experience with CRM or membership database systems preferred
- Previous administrative or office experience preferred
- Self‑motivated and able to work independently
- Detail‑oriented and accurate
- Positive attitude with strong community spirit
- Comfortable in a fast‑paced, event‑driven environment
- Flexible and adaptable
- Hourly wage based on experience
- Part‑time: 15–20 hours per week
