We have exciting new plans for the Market, including a shift from a volunteer-driven to a staff-driven Market Day! We need your help to find new staff. Below you will see the description for the Associate Market Manager.

This is a 1099 hourly position reporting directly to the Board Chairperson of the Market Operations Committee (MOC), but working under the direction of the Market Manager on Market Day. It is expected that this role will require 8-10 hours a week from late April through the end of Oct. The pay is $18/hour.
- The Associate Market Manager must work a minimum of 23 of the 26 Saturdays the Market is open to provide Market support including setup, Information Tent responsibilities, and tear down.
- The required hours are from 8 am-1:15 pm on Saturdays. Most additional responsibilities can be completed on a flexible schedule during the week.
- This role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs during Market Day.
- This role will be the lead at the Information Tent. This involves assisting customers with SNAP transactions, answering questions and collecting feedback, signing customers up for the newsletter, distributing Kids Bucks, refilling water, collecting trash, and completing customer counts.
- The role assists the Market Manager with enforcing vendor policies (especially parking and arrival times) during the Market Day.
- The role assists with marketing tasks as requested by the Board.
- The role takes vendor attendance at the Market and records it in the weekly data, along with other data sets.
- The role does data entry including customer counts, Kids Bucks distributed, and vendor sales.
- The role does Market Day prep the Friday afternoon before, including gathering supplies and charging devices.
- The role shares feedback with the Market Manager and Board.
- The role assists with organizing and repairing equipment and supplies while at the Market, or obtaining new supplies as directed by the Board.
- The role helps train and direct any volunteers.
- The Associate Market Manager will be expected to learn all the roles of the Market Manager for Market Day operations and be prepared to fill in for any expected or unexpected absences (with support from the MOC Chairperson and Market Day Coordinator(s) whenever possible).
